What Our Warranties Cover

Equipment Warranties

Manufacturer warranties cover defects in materials and workmanship of the equipment itself. Panel warranties also guarantee minimum power output over time (typically 92% at year 25). We work directly with manufacturers on any warranty claims.

Workmanship Warranties

Our workmanship warranty covers the quality of our installation — roof penetrations, electrical connections, mounting hardware, wiring, and all labor. If anything we installed fails due to our workmanship, we fix it at no cost to you.

Response Times

Warranty service inquiries are acknowledged within 24 hours. Non-emergency warranty service is scheduled within 1 week. Emergency issues (system completely down) are prioritized within 48 hours.

Call us, describe the issue, and we handle everything. We coordinate with manufacturers for equipment warranties so you don't have to. One call, one company.

Important Warranty Information

Our workmanship warranty may be voided if:

  • Third-party modifications: If another contractor works on or modifies our installation without our knowledge, we cannot guarantee the integrity of the system.
  • Physical damage: Damage caused by accidents, vandalism, or improper use is not covered.
  • Neglect: Systems that are not maintained per manufacturer guidelines (e.g., AC filter cleaning, SWH fluid replacement) may have limited coverage.

Simply call our office at (808) 842-5853 or PV tech support at (808) 380-6845. Describe the issue and we'll determine whether it falls under equipment warranty, workmanship warranty, or is a service call. Warranty work is performed at no cost to you.

Our standard service call fee is $250 + tax. This fee is waived for all warranty-covered work. If we determine during a service call that the issue is covered by warranty, you will not be charged. If the issue is outside warranty, we'll discuss the cost before proceeding.

Equipment manufacturer warranties (panels, inverters, Powerwall) are typically tied to the system and transfer with the home. Our AEI workmanship warranty is also transferable to new homeowners. Contact us when selling your home and we'll update our records.
